Hi guys! Just wanted to give one or two photo/picture tips that will
help, especially on treasuries, especially with dolls and long/tall
items. Make sure to take a close-up picture of the top half of the
item with the "head" more centered in the picture. Have that one be
the first picture in your listing so that nothing gets "chopped", cuz
that will be the one that shows up in the treasury and will grab more
attention. All of the dolls here are adorable, but when you only see
a pic of the doll's body with the head cropped off, it doesn't grab
attention.
I also see a lot of listings on etsy that only have one picture, or 2
pics of the full item. Most people want to see several views of an
item.....full-length, close-up, side, back, etc. Take as many as you
can, then pick and choose, but also list as many pics as you can. If
there's a special detail of the item, show it off......take a close-
up pic of it.
This is by no means any kind of criticism!!!! It took me a while to
figure out why photos are so important and some things just didn't
occur to me. I still have a hard time with wide items, such as signs,
that don't all fit in the pic, so I've just started focusing on one
part that I want to stand out and will use that pic as the main one,
and also have full-width views available.
Hope this helps!
Kris
