Making Treasuries

One important thing about treasuries, you are not allowed to add any of your own items. It must be other people’s work. And you are only allowed to have two treasuries open at the same time.

First do some prep work and they will go faster for you.

Pick a title for your treasury. Anything goes here. Check out the names of some of the titles in the treasury list and you will see what I mean.
You might want to have a theme, like crows, shabby chic, primitives, or a color, all red or green items, etc. or just one showcasing some of your favorite finds.

Pick out the items you want to showcase in the treasury. Do a search for T2T Team to find all the members of our team.
At the top of the item page you will see a number at the end of the url. This is all you need to put in the boxes of the treasury. Copy and past the numbers into notepad or something similar and have it ready. You will need 12 items for the treasury and 4 alternates in case something you picked sells and you need to replace it.

Now the waiting begins for the treasury to open up. The easiest ones to get are Treasury West. The reason being there are no links to it on etsy so if you don’t have the url to Treasury West you won’t find it.

When treasury west falls below 222 lists it will open up. Main treasury has to fall below 333 lists.

When you see a lot of lists ready to expire shortly, that is when you want to start keeping an eye on the treasury. When it is close to that number, keep your browser open to that page. DO NOT refresh the page, it will automatically change as the lists expire. Just keep it open and wait. Copy your title and be ready to paste it into the box when it opens on the bottom of the page.
Paste you title into the box and click on the button that says create. Your treasury should open up into another page where you can start adding your picks.
Now you can start filling the boxes that say listing id with those numbers you saved. Click OK after you put the number in the id box. The picture of the item will fill that box.

Add your comment to the box at the bottom and you are done.

The url to your treasury will be on the bottom of the page. The expiration date of your treasury will be underneath the boxes. Copy and paste the treasury url and email it to the group so they know where to go to comment and click and also add it to the link folder on yahoo with the expiration date so we will know when to remove it.
